I am Scarlet Ink.

This journal is a window into my mind as I dream, brainstorm, plan and obsess over my future. I am a brand, perhaps a tiny one at the moment, but I believe that the ideal that it represents deserves a chance to become a reality.

Freedom. I believe in the freedom of all mankind to live as they see fit and leave everyone else the hell alone already so they can do the same. Because we humans--crazy, arrogant apes that we are--can be pretty damn beautiful when allowed the freedom to shine without other stars getting in the way.

Freedom is what brought me here. I'm a work-from-home mom who, along with my work-from-home husband and a handful of "siblings," has recently started an internet content company, the Cathouse of Content. We ghostwrite articles, blogs, web copy and other promotional materials for like-minded, adults-only business that need to increase their visibility, traffic, and conversions on the internet. We're very new, but we're also very good.

There are a few reasons I want to focus on adult businesses:

1.) I absolutely, wholeheartedly believe that healthy, consensual sexuality, in all of its glorious diversity, is a beautiful and natural thing. The need of some people to control the bedrooms of others has destroyed far more lives than a dildos and prostitution ever could. And because I know a lot of other adult business owners feel the same way, I offer my services to those who promote the vision of a sex-positive American culture.

2.) I'd offer my services to non-adult business I believe in, but I only have so much time and sex is a lot more fun to write about.

3.) I don't really want Scarlet Ink to be a big business. The personal touch gets lost as a company gets bigger, and I don't want to let that happen to S.I.

4.) Have you seen some of the writing in the adult market!? It's horrific, and if I can do something about the awful content that's floating around on the internet, I'm going to.

I should state that this isn't the official blog of Scarlet Ink's Cathouse of Content. There are blog sites out there with a higher PR that can have the official stuff--this is my space (not to be confused with MySpace, which I'd strafe with fire if it were real place.) Livejournal, on the other hand, is a place where I can (and will) be myself, speak my mind, vent, gloat, rant, and maybe, just maybe, do a bit of networking.

Be warned: I am very opinionated, very dirty-minded, open to *almost* anything, and a huge flirt. I'm also more than a little elitist and have absolutely zero patience for stupid people. So, feel free to comment and friend as ye will, but keep in mind that if you can't be bother to write a coherent sentence, I won't hesitate to make fun of you. Just so's you know...
